How It Works
You have a few options when reserving a Pork Share with us. We recommend a Whole Pork Share for a family of four and a Half Pork Share for a family of two. Our average whole pork share is as such: Average Yield = 110lbs of meat for your freezer based on your desired cuts. As an example, one whole pork share can be broken down into approximately 20lb Boston Butt, 8lbs smoked ham slices, 16lb boneless chops, 12lb bacon, 6lb ground pork, 12lb bulk sausage, 2 whole tenderloins, 2 spare rib racks, 2 baby back racks, and some ham hock seasoning slices. A half pork share is about half. Once you've placed your deposit, we will contact you to discuss cut options and delivery arrangements. NOTE, we deliver in the Treasure Valley including Ada, Payette, Canyon Counties. Arrangements for pickup/meetup can be made for other areas.

Purchase A Pork SharePork Share - FAQs
What do your pigs eat?
Our pigs eat a well-balanced diet formulated to meet their nutritional needs. Their soy-free feed is sourced from two locations as needed - Milled by us on the farm or purchased from the local mill. Additionally they enjoy pasture time rooting for forage. It is important to us to track the contents of their feed and produce the best tasting meat possible.
Are your animals given any antibiotics or hormones?
No. Our pigs are completely vaccine and medicine free. The high need for continual medicine in commercially farmed operations is due to the inhumane, restrictive ways the livestock live. At Echo Acres, our livestock are raised outside, get constant airflow, new ground, free access to fresh water, bugs, grasses, and sunlight. Just like humans, sickness is often caused by lifestyle, and we have made sure our animals are living the best life.
How much freezer space do I need?
A general rule is you need 1 cubic foot of freezer space for every 15-20lbs of meat.
When will I get my order?
Our pigs are raised in small batches and sent to process a few times a year. You select the pork deposit month and size you would like to purchase. Once we've received the deposit, we will contact you to discuss exact dates based on the processor's availability.
